An exact quote depends on a number of factors. It depends on the number of people, whether you have or do not have a bar, what type of bar package you will select, and whether appetizers and/or desserts are selected. In our 20+ years of experience, many of these factors change from the time you book the date of your party up until the week of your party. This is why we finalize 10 days before.

So that you have an idea of what your party will cost, we can offer a range of our starting prices. Please note that if you are price shopping, the below prices include both the service fee and the tax. Other places may not include these in their given quotes.

The below prices include price per person, service fee, all included tax, food, room rental, linens, and decoration set-up.

Given your party is a Saturday or Sunday seated banquet (such as a baby shower or bridal shower), the starting price for 40 people is $1,479.35.

Forty people is our minimum for such an event. Seventy people is our maximum. The starting price for 70 people is $2,588.85.

For brunch (available only on Sundays), our starting price for 40 people is $1,479.35. Our starting price for 70 people is $2,588.85.

The banquet price (fully seated banquet) is $28.95 per person. Brunch is available only on Sundays.

This does not include sales tax and service.

For hors dourve parties/partially seated banquets, each party is uniquely set up depending on your specifications and the type of party. For pricing options, refer to our menu here.

No we do not allow any outside food and/or beverages.

For seated banquets, such as baby showers and bridal showers, the minimum is 40 people and the maximum is 70 people.

For partially seated events/hors dourve/appetizer only parties, which typically include reunion parties, corporate events, and birthday parties, our maximum is 100 people.

We have a 40 person minimum or a $1,479.35 minimum charge for hosting a banquet. We can accommodate you as long as the minimum charge is met.

Yes. The Oak Park Avenue train station is only open for Metra commuters and our cafe customers from 5:15am-1pm Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 7am-12pm. The venue is closed to the public during your banquet.

If we have an availability for you, we will schedule a 30 minute phone call in which we will discuss with you the workings of Cavallini's banquets. No final details will be discussed at this time. This meeting is just so you are fully aware of how we work and what to expect.

After that, we require a $250 non-refundable deposit and we will give you a contract. When we have received your deposit and you have a signed contract, your date is booked.

No. After 7 days, your name will be removed from the date that you have penciled in. We cannot hold dates for longer than 7 days without a $250 deposit and a signed contract.

Buffet style. All food is cooked by the owner the day of your party.

You will complete your menu on your finalization date. Your finalization date is 10 days before the date of your party and is labelled on the bottom of your contract. Please call us prior to your finalization date to arrange a time for a 15-30 minute phone call on your finalization date. Finalizations are done over the phone. An in-person meeting is not required. No changes can be made after this date. You will call us to provide finalization details on this date and at your arranged time.

The food options and specifications are on the banquet menu located here for fully seated and here for partially seated. Take a look at that menu so you have an idea of what you would like. When you call on your finalization date, we will walk you through choosing your menu. We will add our suggestions if needed so that your food is paired nicely and you have a lovely, well-rounded menu that fits your guests and your party. We understand some guests have dietary restrictions. Bring it up on your finalization date.

Yes we do. Bring it up to us on your finalization date and we will tend to it. We do not specialize in gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerance, allergy, etc. diets. However, we will accommodate to the best of our abilities.

Fully seated banquets are 3.5 hours long. You drop off all assembled center pieces, decorations, games, banners, prizes, and favors the day before and we will set up the room beautifully for you. You may arrive 30 minutes prior to the official start of your party. For example, if your party is held from 12pm-3:30pm, you may arrive before your guests at 11:30am.

On Saturdays, banquets may begin any time after 2:30pm. On Sundays, banquets may begin at any time. You decide what time to invite your guests with only those stipulations. Choose whatever time works for you, and you will let us know what you picked on your finalization date (10 days before the date of your party).

The exact amount needed will be determined on your finalization date when you have all your RSVPs. For a rough estimate of how many you will need, please follow these guidelines: 40-42 guests will require 7 centerpieces. 43-48 guests will require 8 centerpieces. 49-53 guests will require 9 centerpieces. 54-60 guests will require 12 centerpieces. 61-70 guests will require 14 centerpieces.

For parties of up to 53 guests, seating will be at round tables of 6 people per table.

For parties of 54 guests and over, guests are seated at 8ft rectangular tables of 10 people.

Your date is booked when we receive a $250 non-refundable deposit and you have in your possession a signed a contract with us.

Next, take a deep breath and relax. You are in good hands! We find many of our customers are filled with anxiety at the prospect of party planning. We'd love for you to not stress. We have been doing parties like yours for 20+ years. Our reputation is exemplary and speaks for itself. You should have no worries doing a banquet with us, as it is what we do well. Let us do the hard work and worrying for you.

Here is what you have to do now:

• Pick a time and send out your invitations. Parties may begin on Saturday after 2:30pm, and any time on Sunday.
• Gather your decorations, party favors, center pieces, games, banners, and prizes.
• Assemble your centerpieces. The exact amount needed will be determined on your finalization date when you have all your RSVPs. For a rough estimate of how many you will need, please follow these guidelines: 40-42 guests will require 7 centerpieces. 43-48 guests will require 8 centerpieces. 49-53 guests will require 9 centerpieces. 54-60 guests will require 12 centerpieces. 61-70 guests will require 14 centerpieces.
• Take a look at the menu so that you have an idea of what food you'd like to select for your finalization date. The partially seated menu is located here. The fully seated menu is located here.
• Call us on your finalization date. We will walk you through choosing your menu and add our suggestions if needed so that your food is paired nicely and you have a lovely, well-rounded menu that fits your guests and your party. Bring up any dietary restrictions that need to be addressed at this time.
• Drop off all your decorations, party favors, assembled center pieces, games, banners, and prizes the day before your party. If your drop off date is a Friday, drop-off is before 1pm. If your drop-off date is a Saturday, drop-off is before noon. Balloons must be brought the day of your party as they will deflate overnight.
• Let us set everything up for you! After you drop off your items, all you have left to do is show up for your special event and enjoy yourself.

After you have received all your RSVPs, finalization is when you will give us the exact number of people attending your party so we all can plan accordingly. It is also when you will choose your menu. Finalization means that these are the final details of your party that we will abide by. No changes can be made after this date. We advise you ask for RSVP responses 14 days before the date of your party.

We do not go over finalization details until 10 days before your party.This is because 10 days before is when you will have the most accurate number of RSVPs. It is impossible to plan seating arrangements, menu items, etc. until we know how many people will be in attendance.

We do not finalize piecemeal items either. For example, if you would just like to pick the menu months or weeks before your finalization, we will not do this. The reason is we have other banquets going on each week that we focus on, and we like to give our utmost attention to each special event as they come, as we will to yours. Please pick the items at your discretion and have them ready for your finalization date. We will guide you through any questions you have at that time.

Your finalization date is 10 days before the date of your party. The exact date is written on the bottom of your contract. It is labelled "Event Finalization".

To finalize, please before your finalization date call us at (708) 444-4946 during our normal business hours to arrange a good time for a 15-30 minute phone call. This phone call will take place on your finalization date. Your finalization date is labelled on the bottom of your contract as "Event Finalization".

You will be charged our minimum $1,479.35 for your party.
